2011 Twilight League
2011 Twilight League
Our 2011 Men’s Twilight League will begin on May 5th.
This Year we have a 13 week regular season followed by a four week Post season.
We have three flights this year. The first Flight (3:30 – 4:00) has eight teams and the second and third flights (4:30 – 5:30 & 5:00 – 6:00) each have 12 teams. Make sure you check the correct weekly schedule
(8 team or 12 team) to find your match-up.
This year's playoffs will be made up of 16 teams. We'll use a traditional 16 team, one loss and done bracket format. Half of each flight will make it to the playoffs.
To keep all teams active throughout the 13 week season we have a sub season during the last five weeks where you have a chance at a wild card slot in the playoffs.
The primary way to get into the playoffs is to win the most Match Points. These are accumulated over the full 13 weeks of the twilight league. You get two match points if you win your match or one point if you tie you match.
The second way to get into the playoffs is to get the most Hole Points. These are accumulated over the last five weeks of the twilight league. You earn one point for winning a hole and a half point for a tie.
Since we have different size flights this year, below is the breakdown on how many teams make the playoffs.
|
Size of Flight |
Teams from Match Points |
Teams from Hole Points |

This will give us 11 teams from Match Points (4+4+3) and 5 teams from the wild card (2+2+1).

Let’s all have a fun year.
